When HFS bought Days Inn and renamed it Wyndham Hotel Group he incorporated Windham Rewards, which is a free service where customers who spent their vacation in this hotel had chance to accumulate points which they will later redeem for prices. This was one way that attracted a massive number of people to this franchise. When the points were enough, a customer could redeem them for cash or accommodation or food.

For one to own a franchise with Days Inn, an initial investment of between $400,000 and $6.7 million was needed.
