Worst Sport Franchises

worst sport franchises There are a handful of sports teams that it seems like we'll always see contending every year. Whether it's a team like the Lakers in basketball, the Yankees in baseball, or the Cowboys in football, worst sport franchises are just extremely successful and know how to build great teams. They don't always need to be big budget teams either. Look at the Twins in Minnesota or the Packers in Green Bay for two prime examples of teams that seem to compete on a competitive level year in and year out, despite the fact that they play in small cities. Here are some of the five less successful NBA franchises. While some of them are new, there just doesn't seem to be much hope for them either. 1. The Memphis Grizzlies. They had a few good years with Pau Gasol, but the window was small and nothing looks good in Memphis these days worst sport franchises. 2. The Charlotte Bobcats. This is another newer NBA team, but they still haven't made the playoffs. This could all change if Larry Brown can continue to improve the team. 3. The Milwaukee Bucks. Sure, they've had a few competitive years here and there, but they're not a newer team like the ones above them; thus, there's not much of an excuse. 4. The Minnesota Timberwolves. This is a team that had a string of competitive seasons thanks to Kevin Garnett, but short of Garnett's presence, they haven't done much of anything in their 20 years of existence. 5. The Los Angeles Clippers. Even when this team signs talent like Marcus Camby and Baron Davis, they still can't seem to get it together. worst sport franchises • Professional sports leagues are organized in numerous ways. The most common are those in the North American mode and those in the European mode. • the least favorable outcome; "the worst that could happen" • Least pleasant, desirable, or tolerable • Most severe, serious, or dangerous • (superlative of `bad') most wanting in quality or value or condition; "the worst player on the team"; "the worst weather of the year" • Of the poorest quality or the lowest standard • defeat thoroughly; "He mopped up the floor with his opponents" I wish I had a more "exciting" photo for this, but I had some bad light and needed to take a shot. I spent much of today in Albany at the New York AP banquet, where I received this award. Though always cool to get an award, I usually brush things off. This was the first time I went to the banquet and really enjoyed it. For winners, they also note something about the articles submitted. For me, this was said: "Our judges said the first-place winner mixed sadness with a dash of humor. Writing about the moving of the Oneonta baseball franchise as an "obituary" was a unique approach." Really cool.
