He was reluctant to shop for his wife’s lingerie and beauty products in open environment. He imagined how alluring it would be to shop in a store full of fashionable decorations. One year later, he embarked in transforming his fantasies into the realm of reality when he made a mail order catalogue advertising a wider collection of slips, panties, bras, and loungewear. The response to the new business idea was amazing. However, Raymond was faced by the usual difficulties of satisfying he demand and as well as organizing mail order business. Finally, Raymond sold the business to Leslie Wexner in 1982 for $4 million. Wexner was the original founder of Limited Women’s clothing firm. The Victoria Secret franchise charisma developed tremendously in the 1980s. Wexner later introduced another line of shops called Cacique that were equivalent of the Victoria’s Secret. The Cacique shops were established in 1988 and by then Victoria Secret had attained maximum fame. The organization became associated with introduction of new fashion trends such that both men and women always kept looking forward to new trends. New accessories and sportswear were also included in the catalogue. The fake couples that used to be photographed on the catalogues of the organization have now been replaced with international models. Currently, Victoria Secret Franchise has opened more than 2300 boutiques in the US alone. The lacy and racy catalogues are selling at least 350 million undergarments per year. The lingerie is designed to make any woman feel sexy and good looking irrespective of their shape or size.
