Surf Taco Franchise
Surf taco franchise
With soon-to-be eight locations sprinkled across Monmouth and Ocean County, Surf Taco is quickly becoming the little shore franchise that could. Surf Taco franchise, with eight locations scattered across the Jersey Shore, offers the best of both worlds when it comes to shore cuisine.
It's a little haphazard when you first walk into the Toms River location on Hooper Avenue; wooden chairs and tables that are no doubt pushed around and pulled apart at random intervals of the day can sometimes make everything feel small and cramped. But seeing the bumper stickers, surf merchandise and photos of the shore covering the walls makes it feel less like a restaurant and more like home.
The key to Surf Taco on a crowded day is to order quickly and grab a table while you still can. Orders are placed and customers are given a number, which acts as the perfect little flag for claiming a seat.
So what's Surf Taco franchise take on coastal cuisine? The restaurant has almost every combination of seafood and tacos down pat. The menu offers tacos, burritos, wraps, salads, seafood specials and the tsunami (grilled chicken, rice, beans, jack and cheddar cheeses, lettuce, sour cream and salsa wrapped in two huge flour tortillas). Some entries come with chicken instead of seafood, and almost every entree comes with the "almost famous" salsa bar - a great way to keep you amused while waiting for the main course.
The salsa bar contains four homemade dips: Mild, Verde, Baja and Hot. Mix 'me, match 'emu. You've got a whole basket of chips to plow through and the more creative, the better.
The rest of the menu can be best summed up in the words of one local patron: "Everything is good here." The Surf Taco - a flour tortilla stuffed with fresh tempura-battered cod and smothered in lettuce, cilantro and pico de gallon, is a safe bet. The salads are especially fresh as well; the Taco Salad is served in a perfectly crisp taco shell bowl.
It's hard to say what exactly makes Surf Taco franchise so enticing. There's originality, certainly. There's good service, though most of it is do-it-yourself.
