Back in 2000 this company brought a change in its name converting from Dayton Hudson to Target. It’s the 5th largest retailer through sales revenue within the US. Kroger is another US retail level supermarket chain as well as a parent company, which was established by Bernard Henry Kroger back in the 1880s in Cincinnati of Ohio. This one reported US$70+ billion in the sales volume in the fiscal year 2008. It’s currently the 2nd largest grocery level retailer within the country in terms of volume and America’s 3rd largest general retailer. Lowe’s is another one among American franchises, which remains a US-based retail chain in the home improvement sector and it specializes in home appliances. It was founded back in the 1940s in North Wilkesboro of North Carolina. This chain is currently serving 14+ million customers per week through its 1,550+ stores in the US states and in Canada. Lowe’s is now operating its stores in the 50 states of America. Its expansion in Canada started in 2007. It has stores in major areas like in Hamilton and Ontario. These franchises are worth trying.
